Blog 1: An Introduction
Most of my days are spent thinking about robots. When my coworkers start prattling on about their cats or what kind of fancy sequined hats they just got, I envision a super-powered robot ripping them in half. When my bosses complain about "the numbers" and what we can do to "increase productivity," I think about what a robot can do to eviscerate them with their laser-beam eyes. Ironic, this insane thought pattern is what preserves my sanity during the ridiculous doldrums of my workday. Is it unhealthy to think of robots killing humans? No, not really. In fact, I think it is a sterling example of progressive, forward thinking. When robots do emerge as a force in the world, the success or failure of their inclusion in society will rely on the extensive planning of their creators. So, I look at it as doing a service to the next generation of humanity.
Yes, my job is lame.
